Aurora, CO (January 28, 2020) – A hit and run accident on Monday claimed one woman’s life.
Just after 6 a.m., on January 27, authorities were called to a major collision on Peoria Street. Reports from the Aurora Police Department indicate that a pedestrian was crossing the roadway at the intersection of Peoria Street with 17th Avenue, when she was stuck by a maroon Chevy Malibu.
The driver of the Malibu fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
The victim sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
At this time, APD is investigating.
