Aurora, CO (March 20, 2020) – Just after midnight, on March 20, emergency crews were called to the scene of an auto collision on Interstate 225.
Reports indicate that a crew of firefighters and emergency response technicians were working the scene of an accident along the interstate when a drunk-driver in a yellow Jeep Renegade crashed into the rear-end of the ambulance.
Three firefighters and two EMTs were injured in this collision. All five victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries.
The driver of the Jeep was subsequently arrested for their actions.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
