Boulder, CO (January 7, 2020) – A tragic accident at the Eldora Mountain Resort claimed the life of one man.
On December 30, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an unconscious 55-year-old man was located at the ski resort after colliding with a tree. The victim was transported to Boulder Community Health’s Foothills Hospital via medical helicopter.
Unfortunately, authorities confirmed that the victim passed away on January 1 from his injuries.
On January 3rd, the staff at Backpacker’s Pantry stated that their owner and president, Rodney Smith, was the victim killed in this tragic incident.
At this time, police are investigating.
