Canon City, CO (February 3, 2020) – A plane accident on Sunday claimed one person’s life.
On February 2, authorities were called to the scene of a fatal plane accident near Canon City. Reports indicate that a Piper PA-28 plane took off from the Fremont County airport with three people on board. After a short time in the air, the plane crashed on a section of lane owned by the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Unfortunately, one person on the plane suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
The extent of injuries sustained by the surviving two victims is not known at this time.
