Colorado Springs, CO (January 1, 2020) – A fiery pedestrian accident on Monday left one person with serious injuries.
On December 30, at approximately 7:30 p.m., authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on North Powers Boulevard. Reports indicate that a female was traveling down the southbound side of North Powers Boulevard when she noticed several boxes in the roadway. The woman pulled over her vehicle and entered the roadway to clear the debris.
While clearing the boxes, a second vehicle came down the roadway and struck her vehicle, which was positioned on top of the overpass of Woodmen Road. The impact of the collision sent the woman’s vehicle into her, resulting in serious injuries.
The woman was rushed to an area hospital for treatment immediately after the incident.
At this time, police are investigating.
