Commerce City, CO (November 25, 2019) – A collision on East 72nd Avenue left two victims injured.
Just after 5:30 p.m., on November 18, emergency crews were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the 5600 block of East 72nd Avenue.
According to reports, a 1993 Nissan pickup truck was traveling west along the roadway when it crossed over the centerline. Upon entering the eastbound lanes, the vehicle collided head-on with a 2006 Chevrolet van.
The driver of the Nissan exited their vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
One female passenger inside the Nissan was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment. One person inside the Chevy received medical treatment for their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
