Denver, CO (January 13, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident left one Colorado Department of Transportation worker critically injured.
On January 10, the Denver Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sheridan Boulevard. Reports indicate that a CDOT worker was performing the duties of his job. As the individual crossed the boulevard, near the intersection of 49th Avenue, he was struck by a motor vehicle after the driver ran the red light.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident but was later apprehended by the police.
The injured worker was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.
At this time, police are investigating.
