Fort Collins, CO (November 5, 2019) – An early morning collision in front of the Lopez Elementary School left one child seriously injured.
At approximately 8:40 a.m. on November 5, emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Benthaven Street.
According to reports, a child from the Lopez Elementary School was crossing the street, near the intersection with Wabash Street, when they were struck by an SUV.
The child sustained serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Fort Collins Police Department.
