Longmont, CO (December 6, 2019) – A major collision on US Highway 287 on Thursday left one woman injured.
Just before 6 p.m., on December 5, the Longmont Police Department and several emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident. According to reports, a woman was traveling along the roadway in a Nissan Pathfinder when her vehicle was struck by a northbound mid-size SUV near the intersection of US-287 and Park Ridge Avenue.
The impact of the collision caused her vehicle to spin, sending both vehicles into a nearby field.
The woman had to be partially-extricated from her vehicle before transporting her to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the SUV was uninjured in the collision.
At this time, the Longmont Police Department is investigating.
