Pueblo, CO (November 7, 2019) – A 56-year-old man lost his life in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on South Prairie Avenue on Wednesday.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., on November 6, authorities reported to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South Prairie Avenue.
According to reports, a 65-year-old man was crossing the roadway, in a crosswalk, at the intersection of South Prairie Avenue and Tulane Street when he was struck by a white 2-door sedan. The driver of the sedan fled the scene of the incident without stopping.
The injured victim suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Authorities confirmed the victim succumbed to his injuries.
On Thursday, authorities arrested 37-year-old Alisia Martinez for failing to remain at the scene of a deadly accident as well as failure to notify police of a deadly accident.
At this time, the Pueblo Police Department is investigating the incident.
