Vail, CO (February 18, 2020) - A skiing accident on Thursday claimed one man’s life.
On February 13, authorities were called to the scene of an incident at the Vail Ski Resort. Reports indicate that a 46-year-old male from New Jersey fell out of the seat on a ski lift at the Blue Sky Basin when he became entrapped in his jacket.
The man suffered extensive suffocation injuries. The Vail Mountain ski patrol attempted to perform CPR on the victim but he was rushed to Vail Health and declared deceased.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
